Alphi?
Been MIA for a bit. Lots of planning lately. I have been planning my wedding, planning my trip over Xmas, planning to get a car.
We finally got one of those items checked off. We are going today to sign the paperwork for the car. We are getting a certified preowned X3 from BMW of Sudbury. So so excited. We have been looking at cars since mid May and this one was the right fit/price/timing. Can't hardly wait to pick it up yet feeling a bit nervous and anxious about driving such a car. Betty, my beat up Corolla was so easy to drive, low maintenance and I could do whatever to her without worrying too much. I will be so nervous to park this car in on a bad street and will be devastated if and when something happens. However, it is the right choice and we need a car for the winter.
Lots to do this weekend, lots on my mind but the most pressing would be getting the car stuff sorted out and writing my manual...more to come about that
So why the title "Alphi?" we are thinking of naming the new car that. The color is Aphine White...so Alphi from Alpine??? Yea...we can do better....:)

-At work, obsessively checking the status of my phone every hour...when will ATT updates my order status???
-Over the weekend, I got a new teapot from Crate and Barrel. I brought it into work today so I can make tea. It is working very well and is a good size. I can get a good three large mugs out of one brewing. The shape is so cute also. I am drinking roasted rice green tea I got from Vancouver. I love the smell...it is helping me and making my work environment a little bit more relaxing and homey :).

Should ...
I really should clean up but am so lazy to. I have moved into my house for 7 months now and still haven't move a lot of the boxes from its initial location..bad bad.
Ouch
I can't seem to get anything done right today.
-I took another route to work to avoid traffic and ended up running into traffic anyways. It took around an hour to get to work. The commute is really getting to me. I am thinking maybe a job in the city would be easier and I get to commute with my pumpkin.
-I thought it would be nice to sit in the "porch" and ended up locking myself out without keys or a cell phone. I had to pretty much break in to get inside...sigh.
-So I tried to do something productive and attempted to cook dinner. Instead I cut my finger and it's a pretty deep cut. Thankful that it stopped bleeding.
-I think I will just sit on my bed the rest of the night and wait until pumpkin gets home from class. This is what I get for trying to be productive and actually spend some time outside...lesson well learn.
-Still no updates on the iphone...:(. I don't even care (or maybe i do) when it gets here, just update to tell me the date of delivery. I want to know if it will arrive by my birthday or not? At this point, I doesn't matter...I just want to know.

-We had a candidate today who interviewed for an IA position who has a PhD. Who applies for an admin position with a PhD? I don't understand some people sometimes. She was clearly overqualified especially when the people working with her might not even started or finished college. Is the economy that bad?
-Lingering thoughts about Irvine...would be nice to have a break from Bean Town and its freezing cold winters. Would be nice to start fresh, to start new and to be independent. On the flip side, would be scary to be all by myself there. I am not sure if it would be more scary or more exciting. I will probably not go for it since I lack the technical skills but it is nice to think about.
-I placed my order for my iphone last Sunday. I am waiting in bated breath for the email to confirm my order and for when it will be shipped out. I can't hardly wait for it to come. I have wanted it for 1.5 years now and am finally getting it as a bday gift. I am still debating which color to get. I ordered the white one but is nervous about it since it is prone to crack and is more visible on the white units. What to do...stay with the white and take the risk or exchange to a black unit?
-I feel very blessed to be able to receive all the things I have in my life. I can't wait to celebrate my bday. Even tho. I am turning a year older, it doesn't seem that scary this year. I guess at some point, one just stop counting.
